This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the Dreamnl app. By using Dreamnl, you consent to the practices outlined in this policy. 2. Information We Collect

a) User Provided Information

  • Dreams and journal entries you input into the app
  • Audio recordings used for transcription
  • Account information such as phone number, email address, or authentication details via Apple or Google login
  • Subscription and payment confirmation information provided by Apple App Store or Google Play (we do not store card details)
  • User feedback including support requests and feature suggestions

b) Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage analytics via Google Analytics
  • Error tracking via Sentry
  • Heat maps and anonymised session recordings via Microsoft Clarity
  • Device and log data including IP address, device type, operating system, app version, access times, and interaction data within the app

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Dreamnl service
  • Store and analyse dream content using Google Gemini AI
  • Transcribe audio recordings using OpenAI Whisper
  • Authenticate users through Apple, Google, or phone authentication
  • Process subscriptions and payments through Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Send notifications, service updates, and account related communications
  • Monitor errors, security issues, and application performance
  • Improve the product based on user feedback

We attempt to configure third party AI services so that submitted data is not used for model training where possible. However, policies of external providers may change and we cannot guarantee their internal practices.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored primarily within Google Cloud infrastructure in the EU3 multi region environment.

Application API endpoints are hosted in London, United Kingdom.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security and we cannot accept liability for data loss or unauthorised access.

5. Third Party Services

Dreamnl relies on the following third party services to operate.

  • Google Gemini AI (dream reflection support)
  • OpenAI Whisper API (audio transcription)
  • Google Analytics (usage analytics)
  • Sentry (error monitoring)
  • Microsoft Clarity (session insights)
  • MailerSend (email communications)

These services may process limited information necessary to deliver their functionality. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal data.

We may share information only in the following situations:

  • When required by law or legal requests
  • To protect the security, safety, or rights of users or the company
  • With trusted service providers necessary to operate the app

7. Subscriptions

Dreamnl offers optional auto renewing subscriptions that support development of the service and help keep Dreamnl available to others.

Subscription payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not have access to or store payment card details.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

8. User Rights & Account Deletion

Users may delete their account at any time through the settings screen within the app.

Once deleted, associated personal data is permanently removed from our systems where possible and cannot be recovered.

9. Age Restrictions

Dreamnl is intended for users aged 13 and above.

If minors use the app, parental consent may be required depending on applicable data protection laws.

10. Session Data & Logs

We collect session related data such as usage duration, feature interactions, and login events in order to monitor performance and improve the user experience.

Log data may include device information, IP address, and system activity used for technical troubleshooting and security monitoring.

11. User Control & Privacy Settings

Users may limit certain analytics tracking through device level privacy settings.

Disabling some tracking features may impact certain functionality within the app.

12. Modifications & User Choice

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Users are encouraged to review it from time to time.

If significant changes occur we may notify users through the app or via email.

Continued use of Dreamnl after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
